Patrick Schwall
Video Game Design
This is the beginning stage of an original video game design. So far there is a character, Lil Dude, who is able to move around and fly. In time I will develop levels, disable the characters' ability to fly, and implement gravity into the game which will create a jumping effect.
Lil Dude
Below the first draft of Lil Dude is the finished video game design. It is rather simple with three levels. The goal of the game is for the player to make it to the final level without getting stuck. If you do get stuck just hit the green flag to restart. Once you make it through the final level the player is caught in a never ending loop. You can move the player forward with your right arrow key, backward with the left arrow key, and make him jump with your up arrow key.
New and improved Lil Dude

I removed Lil Dude's legs because I felt that it was more true to his character to not have legs.

The Wall
On the first level, the player's goal is to jump over a wall to advance to the second level. He must do so by jumping from one floating oval island to the next. Once the player jumps over the wall he will advance to the next level.
Multiple Walls
On the second level the player must jump from one wall to the next wall until reaching the final wall. Once the player advances over the final wall he will reach the third and final level.

This was a potential design of a villain for the game, but nothing came to fruition.
Circle and Walls
On the final level, Lil dude must maneuver over a circle and jump from one platform to the next to summit another wall. Once the player has jumped over the final wall he is then caught in a never-ending loop of the final level much like Sisyphus in the underworld.
